The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN), Miss Ada Joy Agwu Eme, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit on the First Lady of Abia State, Mrs. Priscilla Otti.
Miss Eme, who was crowned queen of the MBGN pageant in October 2022, said she came to felicitate the Abia First Lady on the victory at the polls and successful swearing in of Dr. Alex Otti as Governor of Abia State.
The 24-year-old model and event planner used the opportunity of her visit to inform Mrs. Otti that she would be representing Nigeria at the Miss World pageant in India, in December and consequently, solicited her support.
“As MBGN, it’s the natural progression that I represent Nigeria at Miss world pageant. That’s how it is. The first Nigerian to win the Miss World competition is Agbani Darego. That was in 2001. So, it’s long over due,” Miss Eme told the First Lady.
Mrs. Otti thanked her for the visit while also congratulating her for emerging victorious at the MBGN pageant. She further wished the queen success at the Miss World competition.
Over 130 countries, according to the beauty queen, will be sending their delegates to the competition.
Ada hails from Amaogudu, Abiriba, in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
