The Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti, on Thursday paid the hospital bills of six indigent patients totalling N3 million at the Federal Medical Centre(FMC), Umuahia. Mrs Otti performed the kind gesture in commemoration of the 2024 World Charity Day, an International event which celebrated annually around the world every September 5. Speaking after handling over the proof of payment to the management of FMC, she said the gesture was in line with the rebuilding agenda of the State Government aimed at improving the welfare of the people. In a related development, Mrs Otti assisted no fewer than 50 traders at the Orie-Ugba Market in Umuahia with cash to improve their businesses.
