Rolled out the statewide farmers’ enumeration program to build a credible database on farmers and agriculture generally to have a dynamic Agricultural map of the state; carry out commodity by community mapping as well as, farm by farmer mapping. This way, interventions in agriculture will be more targeted and precise.

Successfully revoked and recovered the state plantations that were leased out under questionable conditions. Set up interim Ministerial Management Committee to run the rubber plantation pending the result of the tender publication for new credible investors.

We are currently setting up rice clusters in various communities in the state’s rice belts of Arochukwu, Bende, Ohafia and Isikwuato LGAs. This is targeted at creating active farming cooperatives/clusters for our 8,500Ha rice cultivation program.

Partnership with the State Government in the development of Smart Agribusiness Road Map and Strategic Plan for the Abia State Agricultural Sector. This is to help provide the framework and direction needed to achieve the aim in the agricultural sector.

Successfully engaged NALDA to establish the Federal Government institute of Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship in Osisioma LGA, Abia State.
