We have established a database of employable youths in Abia State and we are providing them with an opportunity to fend for themselves. Many Skills Acquisition Centres have been built in the Local Governments with a view to providing our teeming youths the necessary skills to engage in meaningful endeavours thereby curbing crime.
The first batch of 500 beneficiaries from the youth empowerment scheme were given full communications kits in partnership with Globacom Telecommunications Ltd to enable them start-off telephone call centres.
We therefore welcome partnerships with other organizations to enable more Abia Youth benefit from the scheme.
