After official arrival ceremonies at Umuahia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led the Vice President and his entourage to the National War Museum at Umuahia.
The Vice President saw first hand the remains of the machines used by Biafran forces during the war including war planes, armored tanks, machine guns of different kinds and war pictures including those of the principal characters that shaped the war.
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Ogah, Former Senate President Ken Nnamani, top military and para military officers, members of the National Assembly and the Abia State House of Assembly, members of the Abia State Executive Council and other top officials of government at different levels took part in the tour.
The VP was in Umuahia for a Town Hall meeting to mark the 50th Anniversary of the end of the Nigerian Civil War.
