The affected  local governments are Ikwuano, Bende.Arochukwu, Umuahia South,Aba North, Umunneochi,  Ohafia , Isuikwuato and Osisioma Ngwa LGAs.
Addressing the new chairmen after they had subscribed to the oath of office at the Government House, the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu charged them to galvanize support for his government.
He stated that his administration has done a lot in terms of road construction and advised them to oversee the projects as their own.
The Governor said that the government is interested in primary healthcare, pointing out that as the leading state in immunization in the country, they should supervise the programme closely to maintain the lead.
According to him, his administration is passionate about market management since most rural markets are in bad shape and not good for business and implored the new chairmen to take stock of the markets and report back to him within 14 days in order to begin the process of reconstructing those markets.
Other charges of the Governor to the TC chairmen include to look at the poorest schools in their areas where government can commence the Friends of Abia schools Initiative as well as to beef up security in their areas as chief security officers to avoid security breach.
He called on them to remain loyal to the government at all times.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the new TC chairman of Isuikwuato LGA, Navy Capt. Christopher Osondu (Rtd) thanked the Governor for finding them fit to serve and promised to justify the confidence he reposed in them by replicating his projects at their various councils.
