Dr Ikpeazu has reassured that his Government will always create wealth and expand access to good life. He also maintained that Abia State being at the center, makes it easier for the State to service other neighboring States in the Zone in terms of Business and innovation.,Therefore, the State is strategically positioned for easy flow of business.
The Governor made this known today ,when he received a delegation of Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd at the Government House, Umuahia.
According to the leader of the delegation Dr Nkemka Offor, the Company is in Abia to finalize with the Government on a proposed plan to Build a refinery in Abia State.
Speaking earlier, A representative of the host Owaza community, thanked the Governor for the idea and assured of peaceful cooperation of the community. He said that the community has provided 120 hectares of land and has set aside another 300 hectares for further development. He enumerated some of the benefits of locating the refinery at Owazza, which include proximity to the finest crude, access to Railway and River for transportation of materials.
The Governor thanked the delegation and urged Hyundai to expand their ideas to include maximizing crude to other benefits. He assured them of Government partnership at all times.
