The Abia State Governor , Dr Okezie Ikpeazu; has stressed the need for the three arms of government to work in synergy to ensure speedy dispensation of justice so as reduce to the barest minimum, the problem of backlog of cases pending on the appeal at the court of appeal and the supreme court with the attendant consequences on administration of justice.
Governor Ikpeazu who stated this during a church service marking the beginning of 2017 / 2018 Legal year held at Mater Dei Catholic Church , Cathedral Parish , Umuahia, Abia State.
The governor represented by his deputy ,Sir Ude Oko Chukwu further disclosed that government has resolved to do everything within its power to provide enabling environment for the Abia Judiciary to discharge its function and obligations effectively and efficiently for the common good of all and sundry
