Abia State Governor Chief Theodore Orji has joined well meaning
Nigerians to mourn the exit of 153 Nigerians in the ill-fated Dana
Airline crash in Lagos last sunday.
The Governor who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary Ugochukwu
Emezue, described the loss as tragic, disheartening and monumental.
According to the Governor, he is yet to come out of shock of the
crash. The Governor who said he watched with sadness on TV how fellow
Nigerians were burnt to death, after the crash, prayed God to save our
nation from such disasters in future. Gov. Orji maintained that this
crash which took place barely few days when a Nigerian registered
cargo air plane crashed in Ghana killing some people calls for more
prayers. The Governor who called on airline operators to place much
premium on safety commiserated with the families of the bereaved who
lost their loved ones in the crash. The Governor prayed God to grant
the souls of the departed eternal rest.
