PRESS RELEASE
As part of its plans to empower Abia youths, Ochendo Youth Foundation has distributed 20 tricycles popularly called Keke-NAPEP and four buses to various Youth Organisations in Aba.
According to the Coordinator of Ochendo Youth Foundation Engr. Chinedum Orji, the gesture was borne out his desire to ensure that Abia youths who have no means of livelihood are provided with tools to earn a decent living. He argued that those regarded as “never-do-well” or “Agbero” should be integrated and not discarded. For him, when these youths are empowered, it reduces crime in the society.
He said that the second phase would soon commence. The speaker of Abia House of Assembly Hon. Ude Okechukwu who handed the keys to the beneficiaries, said the move by the Ochendo Youth Foundation to rebrand Abia youths is highly appreciated. The speaker urged the foundation not to relent, even as he called on well-meaning Abians to support the foundation.
