The dismissal of the petition tilled at the elections petitions tribunal sitting at Umuahia by the Peoples Progressive Party (PPA) candidate in the last April 2011 governorship elections, Chiet Chris Akomas, is a consolidation of the victory of Chief LA. Orji during the said governorship elections and an eloquent testimony to the overwhelming mandate the people gave to their amiable leader, Chief T.A. Orji.
With this victory, it has become imperative now more than ever, that all those who participated in the said governorship elections should stop dissipating energy and wasting scarce resources in unnecessary litigations. They should join hands with Chief T.A. Orji’s administration to build Abia State.
The huge sums of money these petitioners have spent in litigations should have been better deployed in providing jobs for teaming unemployed youths in the state through the establishment of small scale industries.
Politicians and other public office seekers should always put the interest of the people above their personal and selfish interests.
The people of Abia State need peace to enable their elected Governor develop the state and provide them with dividends of democracy.
To this effect, all Abians are also advised to shun detractors who keep spreading deceitful rumours with a view to distracting Governor T.A. Orji from fulfilling his avowed promises to the people of the State.
His Excellency, Governor T.A. Orji is determined to elevate Abia State to enviable heights.
All Abians are therefore enjoined to support Chief T.A. Orji in the task of building a virile State that would be the pride of all.
