Opinion piece! In Abia, health is still wealth.

In the next few weeks, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will Commission four brand new General Hospitals across the state to boost health care delivery to our people.
The new hospitals are located in Arochukwu, Ikwuano, Obingwa and Ukwa.
Work has reached the final stages and the four will be commissioned within a space of days.
The unique thing about these new hospitals is that they come with modern facilities complete with residential apartments for the health workers.
This is the new Ikpeazu template being put into effect by our hardworking Commissioner for Health, Dr. Gozie John Ahukannah.
A few months ago, Dr. Ahukanna told me that the plans of Governor Ikpeazu for the health sector are grand. For a start, he said…our new hospitals has no place for medical workers to live outside the hospital premises. In line with modern trends, hospital staff must live within the premises for effectiveness and closer supervision. We are working on that.
Dr. Ahukanna is the Commander of the Land Forces of the Ikpeazu Army in the area of Health Care Delivery. He has brought his years of international experience to bear in our health sector. There are brand new partnerships with development partners in addition to new synergies with the private sector.
Talk about square pegs in square holes?
