Executive Governor

Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR

Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, born February 18, 1965, is a Nigerian economist, banker, investor, philanthropist, and writer. He was sworn-in on May 29, 2023 as the fifth democratically-elected Governor of Abia State, having been elected by the people of Abia on March 18, 2023, and currently serving his first term in office as Governor of Abia State, Nigeria.

Deputy Governor

Engr Ikechukwu Emetu

He is a petrochemical engineer. According to govornor Alex Otti in a press briefing released by the News Agency of Nigeria, Emetu was picked because of his "youth, his outstanding community development service and humanitarian gestures". He received his certificate of return on 29 March 2023.
