Enumeration of all ICT-based businesses in the state Justification
The Government needs revenue to fulfil her obligations to the citizen. ICT-based businesses as a source of revenue to the state; therefore, a correct and comprehensive data of these businesses is key to ensure the expected revenue from this sector is generated. Thus, overestimation or underestimation from this sector is eliminated. Government incentive, if any, can get to the genuine operators.

Ensure that existing and new ICT-based businesses are properly registered and documented. Enforcement of revenue payment into the designated government account.

Project: Establishment of Abia State Informatics Centre Justification
This Centre shall be a HUB for e-governance implementation in the state through: Development of computer-based information systems in various sectors of the economy for planning, project monitoring, and decision support. This will ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and equity in service delivery of policies and programmes of the Government. Promotion of Information Culture at State and Local Government Levels. Provision of a robust Human Resources Management System for the State Civil Service.

Establishment of Computer-Based Test Centre (CBT) Training and Skills Acquisition Centres
Provision of jobs for Abia indigenes. Increase in internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state. More school leavers’ access to Computer-Based Test training for JAMB UTME, as this would increase enrolment of Abia indigenes into higher institutions in Nigeria. More Abia youths will have access to skills acquisition in ICT and related computer-based training such as desktop publishing, graphic design, animation, software, and hardware engineering. The multiplier effect of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) springing up as a result of self-employed Abians would be enormous in line with sustainable development goals.
