The NISHP is an EU funded project with selected states (Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Ogun, Plateau, and Enugu) aimed to leverage Nigeria’s renewable energy potential to enhance healthcare services by providing reliable solar power to health facilities.
The EU/ NISHP has committed the sum of EUR 2,080,000 (approximately – N3,723,616,000 per state) for the capital expenditure and cost of technical assistance for deploying the solar systems.
Abia State Government in return, to support the project sustainability has committed the sum of EUR 624,000 (approximately NGN 1,117,084,800) for Retrofitting facilities, Warehousing, Power evacuation to PUEs, Operations and Maintenance, Security, Local staffing & Logistics.
