Who We Are
The Abia State Ministry of Health is dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for every resident of Abia. Established in 1991 following Abia’s creation from Imo State, the Ministry has since been responsible for implementing state health policies, developing healthcare infrastructure, and ensuring accessible health services across urban and rural areas. Guided by a vision to position Abia as a leader in achieving good health for all, the Ministry collaborates with local and global partners to advance healthcare delivery.
