The Abia State Homeland Security, Fire, and Medical Emergency Services is committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and rapid response to emergencies for every resident of Abia. Established to provide critical services in disaster response, fire safety, and medical emergencies, the agency plays a vital role in safeguarding the community. Since its creation, it has worked tirelessly to build and maintain emergency infrastructure, provide timely interventions, and strengthen public awareness across both urban and rural areas. Driven by a vision to make Abia a model state in emergency management and safety, the agency collaborates with local, national, and global partners to enhance the effectiveness of its services, ensuring that all residents can rely on fast, coordinated, and efficient responses in times of crisis.

Our Mandate
The Abia State Homeland Security is committed to safeguarding lives and property across the state. In collaboration with Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the Ministry works proactively to prevent disasters, respond swiftly to emergencies, and coordinate security initiatives that protect all residents. Through integrated policies, strategic partnerships, and public awareness campaigns, the Ministry ensures a resilient, secure, and prepared Abia State.
