Governor Okezie Ikpeazu inaugurates the new Abia Polytechnic board as a permanent secretary gets sworn in

The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said that government is on the move to redefine the State Civil Service in which loyalty will be the order of the day.

The Governor said this while admonishing a newly sworn-in Permanent Secretary, Mr. Princely Onyekachi Alighili. He said that actions of the government revolves around the service and stressed that individual and collective supports of the workers are needed to move government forward.
Dr. Ikpeazu, who expressed confidence that Mr Alighili will do well in office congratulated him on his appointment.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Princely Alighili thanked God for the opportunity to serve humanity and thanked the Governor for finding him feat to serve and pledged to discharge his duties effectively.
In another development, the Governor has innaugurated the Governing Council of Abia Polytechnic with Chief Chuku Wachuku as Chairman of the Council and Prof. Mike Ikechukwu Iheanacho as Rector as well as Other members.
He said that Abia Poly is an institution that is dear to the State, stating that its milestone and achievements seem not to be regarded by some people because it is near to people, disclosing that the school is the best in I.C.T and is capable of promoting SMEs in Nigeria. He challenged the Council to achieve more feat and try to be independent from the State coffers.
Chief Chuku Wachuku thanked the Governor and promised that the goal set for them will be their motto.
