Abia State government has observed with dismay the defacing of Umuahia, the state capital, through the indiscriminate parking of vehicles on major roads within the city and its environs.
Places mostly notorious for this indiscriminate act include Osa Road, Aba Road, School Road, Finbers Road, Azikiwe, Road, Bende Road, Umuwaya Road, Umudike Road and others.
Henceforth, government will impound any vehicle parked on these major roads within Umuahia and its environs which will also attract heavy penalty.
Government also frowns at the indiscriminate dumping of waste on major streets within the metropolis and the unattended over grown grasses spotted around residential homes and other public places within the city.
Residents who engage in this embarrassing act are hereby warned to desist from doing so by ensuring they keep their surroundings clean.
Henceforth, those who refuse to comply with this directive  will be penalized by government.
We should all help the government of Governor Theodore Orji (Ochendo Global) restore the glorious past of the state capital.
