Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state has expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work going on at the various project sites scattered around the state capital, Umuahia and expressed optimism that the projects will be realized soon.
The governor made his feelings known while answering questions from newsmen after inspecting the progress of work at the new workers secretariat complex, the international conference center at the Ogurube layout, the industrial market at Azueke Ibeku and the Ubani Ibeku modern market being constructed simultaneously by his administration.
He stated that the contractors handling the projects are trying their best going by the funds available to them.
The governor said that his government intends to realize the projects in the shortest possible time,pointing out that the industrial market. The worker’s secretariat, the international conference center and the Ubani Ibeku modern market will be realized soon in that order.
Conducting the governor round the new workers secretariat complex, the company secretary, Timothy Ihuoma who stood in for the managing Director stated that work was progressing steadily at the site and assured that the work will be completed in the next two months.
He disclosed that block work has been completed at the old secretariat undergoing reconstruction, pointing out that covering of the roof will soon be completed.
It will be recalled that the government is not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring timely completion of the projects while work at the various sites visited by the governor had reached advanced stages of completion.
