Abia State, Chief Theodore Orji has congratulated Ahaoma Kanu an Assistant Editor with National Daily Newspapers, for emerging the CNN African journalist of the year,2012 in far away in Zambia.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Ugochukwu Emezue,the Governor said he was overwhelmed with joy with this latest feat by an Abian, precisely from Oboro Ikwuano LGA.
According to him,this wonderful performance of Ahaoma kanu has again proved that Abia has potentials that can rule the world, if given the opportunity.Chief Orji hinted that just recently, Abia son, Emma Ohuabunwa in far away U.S.A. broke world record by becoming the best Graduating student in John Hawkins University.
Last week the governor continued, Abia students emerge champions in the NNPC national debate in Abuja beating others from various states. Speaking further,the Governor recalled that in the just concluded SUBEB competition in Abuja Abia shone like stars to the admiration of other states.
For Governor Orji these successes by Abians in their various fields within and outside the country under his administration,are manifestations of a new dawn. Abia Governor, charged the new CNN Africa journalist of the year not to rest on his oars but aspire to win more laurels at the at the global stage.
He maintained that Abians are proud of his achievement which he said will spur the youths of the state to greater heights.
Chief orji concluded by saying that Ahaoma Kanu will be recognized at the appropriate time. According to him this will encourage him the more.
