Enyimba FC, Abia Warriors gets new team buses

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has handed over two brand new Leyland buses to the Enyimba football club of Aba and Abia Warriors of Umuahia to execute their local and international engagements.

Presenting the buses to the management of the teams at the Government House, Umuahia, the Governor congratulated the management and players of the two flagship teams of the State for doing well.
He said that the two teams have made their mark in the professional league and it is anticipated that one of them will lift the professional league trophy this year.
Dr. Ikpeazu who wished Enyimba FC resounding success in their continental engagements said his administration is doing everything possible to bring them back to their home ground, maintaining that in the next few weeks the re-grassing of the Enyimba Stadium will be completed.
He pleaded with the home fans of Enyimba to remain patient as the team will soon be back to Aba and urged Abians to remain steadfast in prayers for the team.

Responding, the commissioner for Sports, Chief Chinwe Nwanganga, who noted that the teams are doing well because of the support they get from the Governor, assured that the teams will live up to expectation.
