DUBAI OIL FIRM TO PARTNER WITH ABIA STATE

An oil prospecting firm Alkamali petroleum, Dubai has indicated interest to partner with the Abia State government in the area of oil and gas business. The firm which has concerns around the world and has been in oil business for ten years said it is prepared to partner with the State based on the State government’s need.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on the governor of Abia State, the Chairman of Alkamali petroleum, sheik Badar Alkamali said they are in the state to discuss areas of opportunities and partnership between Abia State and his company.
According to him, his company intends to expand and move its business to Nigeria and called for cooperation from the State to achieve the mutual aim.
Also speaking, the strategic partner of the company, Nassirdeen Yahaya Kwande explained that they are searching for opportunities and came first hand to assess the opportunities and build on them.
He explained that their commitment will be based on what the state government decides.
Receiving the Chairman and his team, the Deputy Governor of Abia State who represented the governor on the occasion assured the team that Abia State is conducive for investment, adding that Abia is endowed with oil and other valuable natural resources.
He pointed out that the state is ready to welcome genuine investors to do business with the state.
In his comment, a renowned economist prof. Anya.O. Anya said that Dubai represents an example to  the  World, hence the decision to copy the Dubai model and replicate it in Abia State.
