The Abia State Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Ike Anyatonwu has restated the readiness of his ministry in partnering various youth organizations in the state.
Comrade Anyatonwu stated this when he received the executive of the state chapter of People’s Assembly in his office said his ministry will continue to assist the youths to actualize their dreams adding that the ministry changes the lives of the youths for better.
He noted that his ministry is partnering the Australian Embassy revealing that ten (10) Abia youths will soon leave the state for Australia for skills acquisition. The Youth Development Commissioner thanked them for coming to identify with his ministry while assuring them that the doors of the ministry is always open for them.
Earlier in his speech, the President of People’s Assembly, Abia State chapter, Comrade George Goodwill who spoke through his vice, Retractor Comrade Nwosu Michael Prince described the People’s Assembly as an organization that is students-oriented noting that one of the objectives of the Assembly is to elect youthful leaders in our society. He further stated that they were in the ministry for formal introduction of the Assembly to the Commissioner.
In her vote of thanks, Treasure Amah expressed delight to the Commissioner for the reception accorded them.
The Permanent Secretary, Ugoeze Ifeyinwa Uwasomba and the Director of Citizenship and Leadership Training in the ministry, Mr. G.I. Akoma were present at the visit.
