The Board initiated a merit-based selection process designed to attract competent educators to manage Schools, this is the first step in ensuring effective and efficient leadership across the Board.
Development and standardized internal examination materials
Cumulative third term examinations for the end of the 23/24 academic session central development of examination questions as well as detailed monitoring and support for the conduct of these exams in 17 LGEAs.
Disarticulation of Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools
The Board initiated a position paper presented at the EXCO meeting with a recommendation for a reversal of the Rearticulation directive to take place before the new academic session. Council constituted a Task Force Team to drive the process of disarticulation.
Abia State School Enhancement Team (ASSET)
The proposed School Enhancement Team will provide high-quality, inclusive, and continuous teacher training, focusing on curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment. The team will also support diverse pupil needs, embed technology, and promote data- informed decision-making.
