On Monday 17th September 2012 one of Abia’s great farmer, Chief David Onyenweaku will be among those that will be honored by the Federal Government with a national award and Governor Theodore Orji says he is proud of this Ibeku born farmer.
The Governor expressed his feelings through his Chief Press Secretary, Ugochukwu Emezue in a statement in Umuahia.
According to the Governor this national award is a reward for hardwork, dedication and commitment.
Governor Orji hinted that this Abia great son who is in 80’s deserves this member of the Federal Republic (MFR) award and recognition having distinguished himself in the agriculture sector.
Chief Orji recalled that Chief Onyenweaku won the best cocoa farmer in the country recently, a development that has continued to attract applause and encomium for the state.
Governor Orji said that his government will continue to support its sons and daughters to achieve their vision and targets
