Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described the Assstant Inspector –General of Police, zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia, AIG Akila Usman Gwary as a fine officer who contributed to the modest achievements recorded in the state.
Speaking at the send-off/pull out parade organized in his honour at the Umuahia Township stadium the Governor said that Abia owes him gratitude for his diligent service to the state.
The Governor thanked God for the life and times of the AIG in the state especially for the courage and protection given to him throughout his service years noting that many sacrificed their life in the service of their fatherland.
Governor Ikpeazu stated that having served as a corper in Abia and exited from service in the state he should see Abia as his second home assured him that the state always welcome and receive him with open hands.
The Governor also warned criminals in the state that hard days await them as he will continue to battle them until they flee from the state.
