"African Development Bank to partner with Abia Government on Rural Development" Ugo Emezue

African Development Bank (ADB) has expressed its readiness to partner
with Abia State Government on rural  development. Resident
Representative of the bank in Nigeria, Mr. Ousmane Dore stated this in
Abuja during a parley with Abia State Governor Chief T. A. Orji.
The ADB Chief hinted that the bank is ready to offer assistance in
such areas as agriculture, health and water resources. Mr. Dore who
promised to be in Abia soon, commended Governor Orji for focusing on
those sectors that impact the  masses positively.  In a statement, the
Chief Press Secretary Ugochukwu Emezue said that Chief T. A. Orji
pointed out that  Abia State is blessed with a lot of natural
resources that can be harnessed for the good of the citizens ,
especially in  oil and gas. Chief Orji stated that ADB can assist the
state in agriculture, health, housing, education , provision of water
especially in aba, rural development and roads.
The Governor maintained that Abia is safe for investment.
