Abia State Government has assured the people of the State that the money the State will derive from the subsidy removal will be spent judiciously.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Ugochukwu Emezue in a
statement in Umuahia declared that Abia State helmsman is in a haste
to transform the State in all sectors.

According to Mr. Emezue areas that the Governor has mapped out to
invest the fund include; transportation, education, housing, roads,
health, agriculture , youth empowerment, and the environment.

Chief Orji, Emezue stated will provide more mass transit buses that
will cater for the transportation needs of Abians at a subsidized
rate. More buses will be injected into the free school bus programme
of the State to ensure that pupils and students in Abia go to school
to and fro without hitches.

Mr. Emezue hinted that government has outlined and packaged these
programmes aimed at improving the living standard of Abians, and as
soon as the funds are released from the Federal Government these
programmes will be executed.
The Governor’s spokesman assured Abians once again that Chief T. A.
Orji is more than committed towards their welfare and urged them for
patience and support.
