ABIA STATE LEADS AGAIN
Despite all the distractions and political climate, Abia God’s own state, under the watch of our Able Governor, has grabbed yet another wider scope in trade and investment promotion, as she host and facilitate the USAID project in the entire South East and South South States for the exportable products from the two geographical zones.
The programme, USAID United States Agency International Development, West Africa Trade and Investment Hub is in collaboration with Nigeria American Chamber of Commerce, under the leadership of Mr Eric Opah chairman Abia State Chapter.
The West Africa and Trade Investment Hub is a proud implimenting partner of two USA presidential intiatives, Trade Africa and Feed The Future.
The WATIH works in close coordination with a network of West African private sector partners and public institutionsto reduce poverty, raise incomes, add jobs and increase food security by expanding trade in two directions:
A. Value Added Exports
B. Regional Trade in Key Agricultural Commodities.
PROJECT KEY OBJECTIVES:
A. Build regional and global trade linkages through technical assistance and grants.
B. Streamline regional transport and trade policies through collaboration with advocacy groups and industry partners.
Abia State and her sister States welcomes the USAID team as they engage in their tracebility and fact finding mission with special attention on MADE IN ABA PRODUCTS geared towards exporting indigenous products to the United States of America and the global market.
