The Governor of Abia State Chief Theodore Orji has directed that corps members affected by the indigenization policy of the State be reinstated to their former positions.
Also the Abia State Government has limited those affected by the exercise to indigenes in the South East Zone.
Briefing Journalists on the development, the Chief Press secretary to the governor, Ugochukwu Emezue stated that indigenes of other geo-political zones outside the South East Zone are welcomed back to their duty posts.
He said that the gesture is in an effort to prove that the Governor is a statesman who has the interest of everyone at heart.
According to him, the committee set up by the government on the transfer of non indigenes back to their States is working on other issues being raised including the issue of Abians inadvertently affected by the exercise and expressed the hope that those with genuine cases will get an answer by the time the committee concludes the assignment.
