Abia State Governor Chief T.A. Orji has declared his support for the
declaration of a state of emergency in some Local Councils in Borno,
Niger, Yobe and Plateau States over the activities of Boko Haram.
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Ugochukwu
Emezue argued that President Jonathan having exercised restraint on
this  issue for sometime now, has taken the bull by the horn.
According to Governor Orji the actions of Boko Haram have continued to
cause havoc and embarrassment to the nation. The Abia State helmsman
said that human lives and property lost occasioned by the bombing of
this sect cannot be justified.
Chief Orji believes that  the present security initiative by the
President will no doubt stem the activities of Boko Haram. The
declaration of state of emergency in these affected States must be
supported by all Nigerians. He equally urged the senators to endore
the declaration.
